Keep singing that country tune

Warning: This is, without a doubt, the longest blog ever. I may have caused temporary overload to blogger. Once you begin reading, you're committed. Make sure you have ample time to devote first. Don't you love how I'm always looking out for you? That's what I'm here for...

We'll be out of this stroll down country lane soon, I promise. I just needed to give it the respect it deserves. We had the time of our lives in Nashville. Saturday was the best. The entire fam ventured out for Fanfest. It was 1,000 degrees outside and country people are not scared to dress for the weather, if ya know what I mean. We saw all types of inappropriate clothing. I guess you gotta wear what you gotta wear. The streets were packed and we were ready to push our way through them. Reese was sure to get her nap in on the way there...

Aunt Boo & Uncle D decided to hop on stage and perform for their fans. David is actually in a band. He's a drummer, so he did not disappoint on stage. I was worried we'd have to pull him off.

Mommy & Daddy took a moment to perform too. Although, if we were a group/duet I'd like to believe we'd do more of a Justin Timberlake meets Britney Spears (seven years ago Britney, not current, of course)concert. I vent about the group Sugarland all the time. The girl seems to take the spotlight leaving her sad "partner" in the background. Upon seeing this picture, I realized I pulled a Sugarland. I'll be sure to work on that for our future performances.

Then Reese woke up just in time to hitch a lift with her Daddy...

Then came some friendly competition. Reese got to meet Luke Bryan! (I think I referred to celebrities in the previous post, I meant the singular version of that word. I thought he was big time. He's from Georgia and in second place currently to Brad Paisley as one of my favorite country singers. Love his songs. Dallas was a little jealous until he saw Reese throw up the "talk to the hand Mr. Bryan." I think it went something like this: "Oh yeah, that's my girl. No boys. Boys stink." He was proud. That made his day.

After our celeb stalking ended, we did some shopping on the streets. Meme and Reese hung out....

And of course, when in Rome...

You can't come to Nashville without your cowgirl hat! We also got her an "I Crawl the Line" onesie. Too funny. I think she looks too stinkin cute in the hat. After shopping we proceeded to see everything there was in Nashville, literally. We were all worn out. No time to stop, though. We headed to the Isotopes game by 6 pm.

The game was loads of fun! I think Reese was one of those crazy fans that get so excited leading up to seeing their favorite ballplayer than when the time actually comes, they are plum exhausted. We were all walking into the stadium and Daddy was holding Reese. We all looked over and she was asleep. Sitting straight up. Asleep. With her sunglasses intact. And rightfully so...

She finally laid her head on Papa and proceeded to sleep through the first few innings. I guess the guys were a little boring to her.

Her sleeping allowed us all to sit back, relax and take in the game.

But once she woke up she was in full swing!

We ended the night in downtown. (UFC fight included)

Best Saturday ever. Too bad we can't all travel with him everywhere. Would that be weird? The Dallas McPherson traveling fan club? We go everywhere. (except New Orleans, never New Orleans.) Something to ponder...

  1. Wow - I think I fell asleep twice reading that blogpost! LOL. Just kidding.

You must be enthralled with Nashville so much. Praying for a trade to the Nashville Sounds?

I'm jealous you got to go to a UFC fight. That would be awesome.

Valerie and I are looking at moving soon and are kind of liking the idea of the south as well... we're thinking Raleigh/Durham, Atlanta or perhaps New Orleans... just kidding. We're both not fans of that place either. I've only been through once on my way to interning in Houston. We stayed at a bed and breakfast in the French Quarter and then two months later.... flooded.
