Last Saturday, to celebrate Reese's birthday with Papa, Meme, Aunt Boo & Uncle D, we had a cake smashing party! Oh yeah, baby, it was some serious fun. Boo & D had to see Reese before they left for Italy. Reese was a little hesitant at first (the girl has never had sugar unless you count the sweet tea she receive via mama's belly) so she really didn't know what to think. I like to think she was being a lady, but 10 minutes into the shoot, she was smashing like crazy! I should have photographed the hose down post shoot. It was almost as fun. We video taped the whole shabang! Speaking of Aunt Boo & D, this is the email I got today:

Just wanted to let you all know we are doing well and having a blast!
We had a wonderful dinner last night in the tuscan hills after a busy day in florence. Now, we are having a bus ride to milan, but stopping in pisa to see the leaning tower and also for a stop in cinque terra. After milan we go to venice, verona and rome.

I had an exquisite dinner last night from Chick-fil-A after a busy day changing diapers, and chasing Reese around. Tomorrow, I'll head to Target, where the highlight of my trip will be picking out a new selftanner lotion. After that I may swing by Starbucks, Petsmart and Publix.

That has got to be one of the cutest things ever. I have a new idea....we're going to sell Reese cards for birthdays, anniversaries, get well, etc. We're going to be rich!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! It is the right of every child to dig into a cake on his/her first birthday! Question: do you use photoshop to make all these cool cards/picture collages? I just got it and I haven't figured it out yet.
ReplyDeleteI just can't get over that Reese is ONE!! The cake smashing pics are absolutely adorable. We miss you guys so much hopefully we can work something out to see you both soon. Oh and the newborn pics priceless..I can't wait to see more.
