My best friend Amanda turns 30 on July 23 (her and Dallas share the same birthday, I think I am drawn to July people) but she will be on vacation with her husband, so he threw her a big surprise party at Lake Dow Friday night. We had a really good time catching up with friends and family. Reese and Meme came by for a bit and Reese was full speed ahead. Lots of walking and kisses and hi's. Oh, and "I don't know?" It was really hot (as you can tell by everyone's faces) so she only lasted a little while. So much fun! Reese had a party packed weekend.

I keep wondering why we are celebrating this whole 30 thing. I've determined it's not the age, we just like to have a reason to throw a party.
It's not the age... it's the fact that we like to recognize people's accomplishments and we view reaching new decades as an accomplishment.
