pimp my ride...

white girl, two year old style.
Her Papa & Gigi couldn't wait until her party to give their gift. (I think it's a grandparent thing) So, Papa took off work early today and Boo got in this afternoon, all just in time to party it up with the princess. We had some yummy italian for dinner and then we all went outside to surprise her. Want to know the best part??? HER DADDY WAS HERE (gasp). It was awesome.
Here's the view from the playroom of it hidden in Papa's truck...

I snapped a few "before it gets ran into a wall or our cars," shots)...

We opted to not put on the Barbie stickers. Well, not we, mama. I did not like the Barbie garb. We did all the rest, though. Totally cracks me up with the "hybrid" ones...

Her and Boo had their eyes closed (well, Reese had one eye closed) as they walked outside...

She saw it and said "Reesie's!!!" Not sure if she actually knew that or just automatically assumes everything belongs to her. Probably the latter...

First thing she did? Buckle! She said"buckle, buckle." The buckle situation is velcro and she is not studying the security of that. Gigi's gonna add her a real buckle.

Foot on the pedal..check. Hand on radio, check....car in reverse...oops!

Daddy couldn't stand not being in on the fun, so, in true daddy form, he found a way to make the situation better...a stick to control the gas, while she controlled the wheel. This worked until she began to realize the stick was there and then wanted to drive, while holding the stick on the pedal...

Hi Mom! My sweaty little driver...

How many people does it take to drive a kids car???

Chase helped control the driving by pressing the pedals. This worked until Reese decided to get out while at full speed...

My favorite. She's pink. She's cool. She's stylin. She's...on the wrong side of her own car...

I love this pic. Add a hand wave and a tiara...you've got a girl in her own parade...

Instead of driving, we mostly saw a lot of this...in, out. Baby in car. Buckle baby. Out. Shut door. Sit in passenger seat. Buckle. Play with radio (the radio really works). Change radio again. Out. Get in driver's seat. Buckle. And so on and so on...

We made several million trips outside in the heat to party in the car. I looked outside once and she had talked Gigi into sitting in it with her! Such a sweet, cramped up Gigi...

Afterwards, we all came in forsome yummy cookie cake. I'll post more pics of the Braddy"s tomorrow! 7.7.09...Happy Birthday Reese!!

Thank you all for the comments, text messages and phone calls. Reese is so loved. Love you to the moon and back my little two year old...

  7. Happy birthday, Reese. Love the car. Good thing she's at the age where she didn't realize that the car came with Barbie Stickers. Sophia was five and able to read when she got her car...she wouldn't let me get away with ditching the barbie stickers. I think they've all peeled off now anyway...haha!

  11. Oh my gosh! Those pics in the car are hilarious!! She is so stinkin' cute and the car just shows off her personality. I glad she went with a caddi instead of a dodge or something {*ahem- what yours truly drives}. She is so much cooler!
The pics with the sunglasses are totally frame-able. Well, they all are since you're taking them, but that's my fav.

    Happy Birthday, Reese!!
