Weekend together.

(pictured above: Reese and her Valentine)
We've had a wonderful family weekend. Saturday night we (all three) went to eat pizza and then came home and played outside. Today, well, today started with some drama. Reese wakes up for some odd reason at 6:20 a.m. Not a good start to the day. We played this morning and then I went up to shower. Reese is in the room with me (she's usually no more than 2 feet away practically showering with me) but today she was in the room wandering around. Just as I was taking in my alone time, I hear "MAMA, MAMA" in a really scared voice. I jump out, see her in Dallas' closet, screaming bloody murder b/c she has two fingers stuck in each of the fire extinguishers! It took some work and some serious unswelling of the fingers but they came out safely. She seriously, sticks her fingers in everything! She scares us at least once a week. Then, we head down stairs. I see Reese coloring with a pen on her fingers (she's really into body art these days) as I get closer I see that she also decided to draw on my notepad except in all her excitement missed the pad several times and had drawn all over the leather ottoman. We're in a rental. We have a deposit. So, off we go to Home Depot.
We've tried leather cleaner and hairspray and I think all we have done so far is remove some of the leather off the ottoman. Glad we have six weeks to figure something out...
Dallas got home and the chaos ended (must be a girl thing) so we headed to the pool...

Reese was sure to paste on the sunscreen...

Then she got in the pool with Daddy...

We got home and I cut up lots of fruit for Reese and her favorite guy (you can't see it but they shared a huge bowl of fruit)...

Then she stole my sunglasses and went Hollywood on us for a long time...

Fun. Today I went running for the first time in forever. Ah, it felt so good. I ran alone. Just me and my ipod. Me and Rihanna. So weird how just a few years back I was in half marathons, running six miles after work. I've come to the realization that those days went out with black hot pants. Yep, and I'm okay with my two miles. I felt great after and came home to my girl & my main squeeze. Nothins better than that...
Side note: Please don't let me scare anyone. I am open to anyone reading my blog except people who are here for the wrong reasons. Here's how to watermark your photos in any photoshop program (I have cs3 but they should all work the same). I'm sure lots of other programs do this to. Just google it. Here's PS instructions:
Create a new document that is 300x300 pixels and make sure you click transparent. Use the text tool and to create your watermark. You can use other stuff too, whatever you want. Design it. If you are not a photog, it can be your name, blogs name or Do Not Copy. Then, use your elliptical/rectangular marquee tool to select around the entire watermark. Go to edit, define brush preset, and then name your brush. Then look in your brush set and it will be at the end. Stamp it whereever you want on your photo before saving for web.
Hope this helps! You shouldn't all be scared to go private. Just be aware. Get sitemeter or another program on your site so you can monitor it. USA=good. Brazil=GET OFF! Simple, really. It is my understanding that these people use pics to create fake profiles on Brazil's version of myspace. o We are all vulnerable to this unless we never post a pic online. I am choosing to go forward as I would with my blog public. I love this. I love my blog friends. I love that I meet new people through this. It's a fellowship. I am just keeping everyone aware!
Have a great week! And thanks for the sweet comments! I like making someone smile!

  4. I'm so jealous - you are swimming and it is February!!! The new shots are adorable. So glad to see Dallas survived the tummy flu. I love the photos of he and Reese - especially the b/w on the chair looking at each other. There's nothing more adorable than daddy and baby. That one would be great to print for him to place by his bedside. Keep them coming - we love it!

  9. Aw, good luck on the chair! We've already done some rental art here, and we're lucky he only got as far as the fridge. Magic eraser may work wonders.
I am like you - I used to run hard and long every day. I have found my way to get a little in and for LJ to find some friends, too - everywhere we go, I find a YMCA or something like it. For the first week, LJ wasn't thrilled b/c he's never been without me. Now, as I type, he's asking to "go to class"...they have art and are going to the basketball court for the 1 1/2 hrs. we are there this morning. I may even map out some time for the steam room :) Have a great florida day - we will be at the pool today, too!
