Home Sweet Florida

Ah, we are here.  I would say to warmer weather but south Florida obviously did not get the memo that I needed beach weather immediately!  It's a little chilly.  The weather guy JUST promised me some higher temps next week, we'll see.  So, the drive.  It was great.  We made it in 8 hours and Reese was an angel. She watched Shrek 1,2 &3 (her favs she claps when Prince Charming rides his horse!!) and we talked and just enjoyed ourselves.  Sure, no extensive drive is complete without a little entertainment.  We had a car full of african american boys that pulled up to us (going 70mph) and invited us (including Gigi & Reese) do dance along with them.  Sadly, we were not on our way to Panama City, nor were we going back in time with them to perform what I can only assume was a rendition of the ever so popular 1996 "Buckhead Bounce" dance move.  (This may have only been an Atlanta dance, if no one knows it-good chance).  They were young, yet they seemed to be addicted to old skool routines.  We pondered joining in, then I kicked it up 5-10 mph, and thought nothing of it.  Luckily, this was not our last chance at seeing their white car (that by the way had a My Child is an Honor Student bumper sticker on it....Ha!). Except this time, we got to see Mr. Tallman (sorry, this is what Reese's cd of were is pointer? calls it).  Yep, we got the finger times 7, or 8.  Not sure.  Then they proceeded to follow us, speed up, slow down.  Lovely.  We were glad to lose them a couple hours later.
We grabbed dinner and got to our townhouse.  I am not loving it.  It's ok.  I loved last years. It was one story, kid friendly, walking distance to Palm Beach Gardens Mall. Everything. This one is a 2 story and I HATE 2 stories with kids and I ultimately don't believe in them.  I hate 2 stories! Oh, and no gates are working.  Looks like we are drilling holes, people! Also, it is decorated with some breakables...nice.  It is walking distance from the beach, though. Guess we will make it work.  Dallas is in Ft. Lauderdale doing all of the fanfest activities.  I opted to stay here with mom & reese and get settled.  I missed a fun dinner tonight that would have been good to do with the wives but I was exhausted.  I'm editing and placing orders, so I'm being productive at least.
Mom, Reese and I all went to the mall, lunch, ran errands.  I love the reality check down here.  I love it but I crack up at the people.  Within 24 hours I had an old person (who by the way was way in the wrong) beep the horn at me.  One, stop in the middle of the road and nearly cause a wreck. And the best?  I'm at the post office (not bloomingdales) and the four 60 year old women in line with me had no wrinkles.  I found myself staring.  It was a little scary.  I'm all about bettering yourself and pro-choice on surgery people but these chicks couldn't move. Hilarious! I felt like I needed to up my night cream. Guess we're not in Kansas, I mean Georgia, anymore.
The lady working the gate at our place walked up to mom and I smelling with her nose all scrunched and said "Mmmmm...I just love that new car smell."  She went on and on.  Our car is two years old this March.  I went with it.  Should I be scared that she is gate security???
On another note, I'm excited to hang with all the girls I met last year.  Get some sun, exercise. Oh and hang with Deb all the time! We're already cooking up some good ideas...
Dallas gets back up here tomorrow!  Going to see He's just not that into you.  Can't wait!!
