19 months...

Nineteen million reasons to love her.
Oh, today was such a great, awesome, wonderful mama/daughter day. Sure, I'm exhausted but it's the good kind of exhausted. Reese was 19 months last Saturday but her busy mama never blogged it. Well, now I am. I'm not gonna ramble. She's a ball of energy. She's funny. Has new words like "night, night." Opinionated. Makes hilarious faces. Out smarts us. The big one? She does EVERYTHING by herself! Everything. Mostly though, she's just Reese and all that that entails. She's ours and she is wonderful.
Today we started the day at gymboree. It was awesome! She played so hard. Never sat still, listened, climbed, slid, got a stamp on her feet and belly (she'll show you if you ask...)and laughed a lot. After that we ran to the grocery store. Took care of Daddy all day and played outside a lot. Poor Dallas has what we think is the flu. He's been to the doctor but has spent all day in bed with a fever. My mama duty got kicked up a notch today. Poor baby. I took a lot of pics today (b/c if not my family will begin to threaten...Gigi has to see her girl) so here's some of her heiness...
The sweet face...

The "I'm up to something" face...

The chubby milk face...

A close up on the "mouth full of milk." This is a new thing she does. We now pay no attention. If you tell her to stop, she slowly lets the milk poor out of her mouth like letting the air out of a balloon.

Then she went to get some exercise on her Rody (she's a mad woman on her rody)...

Then we went to gymboree, came home and napped and then we took it outside. She is laughing really hard here at me. I think I said something funny. I'm glad she thinks I'm humorous...

Where is your mama?

She sat for 2 seconds (after I made her b/c a car was coming)...

I had to get a shot of the piggers. I love them. Strangers love them. They are her and she is them. I hope she wears them til she's 30. Oh, and her pj's with toes in them too. I never want her to outgrow them!

I honestly can't remember if this was hiding, cracking up or being dramatic because I said "no" to something. It's definitely one of the three.

Follow the yellow brick road....That's what we sang (she doesn't know it's asphalt and not brick)

She looks so peaceful here. I'd love to put a sweet caption but she is actually staring at the old man walking down the road. I thinks she is glad I take her to gymnastics. At least she knows young people do exist.

Looking back like (geez, mom, he camera??!! Let it go)

And my sweetness...

Reesie cup, I love you. You are Dallas and Jenn, our love, our hearts, our souls all in one little pink package. I'm so glad you're our little girl.

  2. Jenn, hi. I'm Elizabeth, Matt Hensley's wife. And I have to tell you that your Reese makes my heart smile. She is entirely too precious and it's scary how just looking at your little one makes me want to beg Matt for a baby RIGHT NOW. One problem though--I'd want her to be as adorable as Reese! Good luck with yall this season and if you're ever on the West coast, let's meet up!

  4. I love her piggers too! I can't wait for Marin's hair to get long enough to have them. Although, I don't think she will keep her bows in!
