We made it to Sacramento. Hmmmm.....Where to begin?
I'll keep it short since I'm stealing internet from a neighbor and there is a very good chance it will cut off soon.
Dallas was SO excited to see us. Reese fell out the last 20 minutes of a 5 hour flight so she continued to sleep all the way through baggage claim, the car ride home and into her bed. She woke up the next morning THRILLED to see her Daddy.
We woke up to hearing her in the next room say "Where are I?" and "Who's room is this????"
I'm trying to learn Sacramento. So far not much to love.
Dallas decided to wait until AFTER I got here to tell me there is NO Chick-fil-A in Sacramento.
I took it as a joke (why would he think I could possibly sustain two months here without my combo and sweet tea?)
It was true.
I called Meghan (her and John lived here and we are staying at her grandpa's house)
She confirmed it.
Then, I put it in navigation.
There it was...654 miles to the nearest ChickfilA.
For a moment I contemplated pushing the "start guidance" key.
For Real.
I've sulked the past few days over this.
Just now, I decided to actually go to their site...there it was, it's in the mall!!
Praise JESUS!!
We'll be heading there after Reese's nap Fo Show.
What else?
We are enjoying Dallas. The field is cool. They have an unreal turnout here.
Weather is great.
That's it. I'll bust out my camera at some point to share some Northern Cali love this week!
Jenn, you are too funny! Dallas is smart for not breaking it to you sooner..hehe. Head to the Roseville Galleria...lots of fun stuff to check out there. There was also a really great park close by where we were in Natomas Park....can't remember the name. Hope you find fun things to do there...we loved it (loved it after we moved out of our apartment infested with mice.....). Long story...haha!
ReplyDeleteThe read question is Jenn, did you do the "We did it" dance? Somehow I envision you swinging your hips and arms side to side breaking into a mixture of Spanish and English! LOL
ReplyDeleteDiego and Dora are cute but overwatched in my house. THEY'RE IN MY HEAD!!!!
Jenn, I hope you can make it with no Chick-Fil-a.It is your life line. lol
ReplyDeletei always wondered about this chick-fil-a fetish until i moved to nashville...now i understand. when a new one opened here, people actually camped in the parking lot for a few days prior to it opening!!! too funny...glad y'all are together again!
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it. I am sure Dallas was dying without you;-0
