Two Daddy shout outs...

We were only missing one piece of our family puzzle today and it was a big ole piece to miss! It really seemed weird not having Dallas here to praise. He's just the cutest Daddy (to me) and adores his mini me. At least he has our Arizona family taking good care of him. As for us, Boo, D & Papa all came over yesterday for the weekend to spend the night with Reese and party it up Father's Day style.
We hit up Mexican last night for dinner and Reese danced to some karaoke. Then, we all went to the park where Reese was the only child with 5 adults praising her every move on the playground. Today, we all hung out, mom cooked and just enjoyed the little stinker. Reese loves her Papa and was thrilled to have him here today. She gave him his present, then cried (actually balled) when he left with it...that was nice of her. She literally fell out in my lap while I edited pics tonight.
Thanks Daddy for everything that you are as a father. You gave me so much love and support in every step of my life, guiding me into who I would become. As if it was even possible, you are even more amazing as a Papa. Reese loves you more than anything.
Reese pulled her Papa out on the deck this morning so they could draw and look for animals. My dad tells her he sees giraffes, elephants, tigers and Reese swears she sees them too. (He did this to me as a kid and it took until my teens for me not to actually look). Sitting in Georgia humidity for fun is truly only something a grandpa likes to do...

I love his face watching her swing. He lights up with everything she does...

At least Reese got two weeks of nothing but Daddy time. I just love seeing him as a Daddy.  I tell him that all the time. They played "superbaby" maybe a hundred times a day. (The whole back problem starts to add up...)

I love these two. God has blessed me so much!! He gave her these flowers and told her two smell them. She didn't get the memo that you can stop once you capture the smell...

On a side note, this picture totally cracks me up. I hope she turns out to be a celebrity (or President), something that requires an entourage. She thinks this is totally normal. I think she wondered where the other kids fan clubs were...

Climbing the stairs in rainboots...you really have to keep the "whole look" even when exercising...

This image captures everyday of her life for me. Always someone in our family to guide her to where she wants to go and another to catch her when she arrives...

Such a blessing this family of mine...

  1. Jenn- this post might be my favorite. It brings me to tears to see how precious Reese is with your adoring family. And to see Dallas with her makes me yearn for those days when I can see Matt with our child. You are truly blessed and you deserve every bit of it!
