I love Saturdays

Don't you? We started our Saturday bright and early (I consider 7:15am early) and headed to the Aquatic Center for swim lessons.  We met her teacher and are really excited to start.  Then, we headed to Publix (with our baby, of course) and crossed off our grocery list.  We are trying cooking from a blog.  Hey, Everything else in my life seems to revolve around blogging-why not? I am not a cook. Never sold myself as one.  I pride myself on other things but I seriously hate to cook.  In fact, when we get home from eating out I always remind Dallas that the house stayed clean.  No one had to clean up! Dallas is really sweet about not minding that I only cook a few times a week (I think he enjoys eating out too) but I know he LOVES to come home to a cook ole home cooked dinner.  For the last few years I have cooked everything out of the Eating For Life cookbook.  I always recommend it (especially when I trained clients).   It's quick, easy recipes that are healthy! We love the meatloaf, chicken parm and chicken tortilla soup!  It's unlike me to venture out, but I'm doing it! One of my good friends in AZ (she just relocated to Cali) is an awesome cook. When I trained her she would lightly mention that she was headed to a small cooking challenge...Next thing we know she's winning and on the food network! Seriously, she is SUPER talented and wins contest all the time! She's also fit, smart and a mom of two..she kinda makes ya wanna puke! (kidding) She's also good at sharing, she has her own blog! Check out her cooking blog in the sidebar-----------> and here:
And here's a couple shots from this morning.  They are with my point & shoot so nothing special but I had to get a shot of her and her babies.  Pronounced "BABEEEES!" She loves them. She rode like this most of the morning until I made her choose ONE to go in Publix.  Such a good little mama...

Happy Saturday!

open gym=wild kiddos

Heidi, Summer and I all decided it was in everyone's best interest to try and go to open gym at gymboree once a week since we aren't all in class together.  Last week was so much fun!  We really can't chat because we have to watch which way our little ones are running but it's fun none the less.  Here's a few shots from last week.  I think this may be my only camera opp since I had the help of Boo last week!  Here's handsome little Hudson (aka Big Brother to Haven!)...
Reese wore Aunt Boo out.  She saw Hudson go across the monkey bars and immediately had to copy him!

They hopped in here on their own! They rocked for a while too, laughing like crazy! It was so funny to watch!
Lots of climbing through this too...
See?  Back in it again...laughing.
Their idea too.  Cracking up!
Reese would prefer no assistance down the slide but we make her have help.  She is a Do It Herself kinda gal a little too much...

Thanks girls for our fun playdates! We went to gymboree class this morning and then to Dallas' game. It was a BLAST! Reese was an angel.  She played with Hudson and entertained people at the game then her daddy took her in the clubhouse.  She loved it, especially the part where she got a banana.  I know she's a girl in the clubhouse but she stays in the G rated section and we are all about equal rights in this family.  Girls should be allowed too!(Up to a certain age, of course) Then she played on the fields with Meghan.  We ate chick-fil-a tonight and went to Target-just a fun McPherson family night!!
Everyone keeps asking about the birth shoot from last week.  I am trying so hard to get it done. Turns out working is much harder when we are without a Gigi, Boo, Papa and Donna.  I've been doing a little every night but I promise as soon as I am done I'll let you know on here so you can head to my business blog!  Thanks for the support!
Oh! Most of you already know (since she is rekindling her relationship with her blog-FINALLY) but there is going to be a chick in the Murphy Crew!!  Deb is my best friend and you would have thought I was her husband yesterday waiting to find out.  Dallas finally took my phone away! We are so excited! I can't wait to see the boys with Girly Murphy.  So excited!!

Fun with the Bakers.

Earlier this week the Baker's stopped by for a visit. Seriously, if it weren't for the fact that 24 was coming on and three out of the four of us cared (I'm the odd man out) I think we could have stayed up talking all night. Meghan and John are awesome with Reese. Beyond words. My pictures do not come close to capturing how hands on they are with her. Plus, as I've said before I am a stinky indoor light photographer. It doesn't hurt that Meghan has been a fourth grade teacher up until last year but seriously, they are like Super aunt and uncle! They are going to be great parents (one day)! I told Dallas when they left that I thought they were much more qualified than we ever were! Baby Baker will be super lucky!! It started with Reese playing some kind of game she made up with poor Meghan. It's called run through Meghan's legs 100 times and put her through a mega workout!

And again, and again...

Then we all sat and talked. Reese hardly left Meghan's lap! (Sorry for the mess.  The tornado that is our daughter ran through our living room.)

So cool!

She made us ALL wear this hat!

Next...

Practicing her drawing with Meghan...

I guess our craziness didn't scare them too much because we all hung out today at the beach and then hit up the Food Shack for dinner. It was yummy!! They are soooo sweet with our girl! We are very lucky to be friends with them...

sand is yummy.

Beach post (continued) my view of the sand tasting:

I always think that my photos should make you feel like you are here with us. (It's easier this way than actually bringing you with us) I think these will put ya right there, in the sand. Here she is just enjoying her day playing in the sand...

Hmmm...I think I'll try some for a snack...

Aunt Boo, what is this? What did you make me eat? (I love how she looks at Boo for help. She knows her mama is not going to stop snapping)

"OMG, this is not yogurt!!" Gag!!

"It's on my hands, legs, in my mouth, get it off!!"

"Take me home please..."

Sand kisses are the best! Thanks Aunt Boo for saving me while my mama just saw it as a blog opportunity...

I've said this before and I'll say it again...Everyone needs an Aunt Boo. We are so blessed.
We had a great day today.  I got to shoot Haven's newborn pics while Reese went to her Aunt Deb's for the day.  By the time I got there she was running wild with the boys and her pigtails were nonexistent. I am really hoping Deb gets a girl so I can educate her on the proper piggy! We hung out for a while when I got there until all three kids were exhausted (aka Reese dumped an entire bag of goldfish on Deb's floor!) Thanks girl! You are a lifesaver and an amazing best friend!

day at the beach

{Last week}three chicks heading to the beach...

Such a slacker I am...it only took me a week to post these. We had fun last week at the beach with Boo. Boo was even brave enough to take Reese to the beach by herself too! She loves it but she's a little weary of the water. (I think we ruined her by letting her near it when it was cold) Here's your pics...
Always her Aunt Boo's best friend...

I love how much fun my sister is having with her niece in this shot...

They picked up shells and did some major talking...

Some Boo love...

LOVE itty bitty beach feet...

Aunt Boo drew her name in the sand and Reese loved watching. She also loved walking all over it right after I took this shot...

Mama & her favorite girl...is it weird seeing me in a pic??? (it was weird being in one)

Some fun shots in the sand. I love these.

Time to go. Aunt Boo to the rescue again. I think Reese knows I go on vacation when Boo arrives...

It was an overcast day today, so Reese and I headed down to City Place for a minute. She slept in the stroller the entire time. The rest of the day we spent at home. I've got a newborn shoot tomorrow so Reese's fabulous Aunt Deb is babysitting! Reese gets to hang with the boys all day!

monday, music and mama.

Ah, Monday.  It's bad but being in Spring Training really makes me forget what day it is.  That's bad, I know, but it's kinda like vacation (sorry, Dallas I know it is NOT vacation for you). Today, we knew.  We headed this morning to gymboree music class.  It was interesting.  Reese loved the music! She broke it down and really followed the teachers instructions (as long as the music was on).  But sadly, the music does get turned off.  That's when Reese went to the door and said "bye." She wanted to get into the gymnastics room.  Seriously, they need a separate building for music.  It was fun, none the less and she loved getting her gymbo stamps.  She's got em on her hands too...
We've played all afternoon together.  I wanted to get some shots of my new camera strap for everyone to see! I love it! See?
I told Reese that Mommy wanted to get some pictures in front of the mirror of her new strap and Reese thought it was hilarious.  She stood in front of the camera, cracked up, kissed herself in the mirror and talked to herself in the mirror for quite a while...
I am not a product photographer (as you can tell) but I wanted you too see it up close.  You can order one with a furry inside! It is so soft!
There's lots of choices too.  I had the hardest time deciding, so I'm sure I'll order a different one soon! Who needs gymboree...mommy taking pics in the mirror is total entertainment!!
Hope you can see it good.  This is a different girl from my last camera strap co.  It is on etsy (where I buy everything!!) and the best part is you can use your own strap.  I like this better. I just feel better with my canon strap and this just slides right over the writing! So cool!

You can check it out here. She is great! While we are sharing, anyone have any makeup suggestions?  Here's what I am feeling...I am OVER bare minerals.  I'm all about the mineral thing but I think it is seriously pointing to my wrinkles when I put it on! I'm open for suggestions! I love a good share.  Maybe that's a good idea for the blog this week.  Some shares...hmmm...I'll get on that.  For now, any makeup shares would be great!
PS-I need to apologize for my mouth being open in more than half of these shots. I think it's the cheerleader in me...

day with the murphys

Super Saturday! We finally got to hang with the Murphs.  Deb, me and the kiddos all met at Chick-fil-A, ate and played there, then headed to the park for a while.  It was such a great day!! Reese loved the boys. The feeling was mutual, too. Then, Deb is preggo and she was trying to cart my chunkster around all day! It was so great to all be together again. The boys entertained Reese all day long.  They made her laugh like no other.  It was hilarious to watch.  These two are going to be awesome big brothers! I'm so glad we are about to hang out all the time.  Deb and I never get enough time to talk.  Tyler suggested a Murphy/McPherson sleepover! I thinking that's a good idea! Love you guys!! Here's a cute pic of Tyler...he is so grown up! Smart and good looking...

Dylan.  He is the cutest thing. I love talking to him. He told Reese that he really liked her pj's.  (Then Deb and I laughed b/c it was so cute and he got mad at us for a while)  love him...
Tyler seriously entertained Reese for an hour.  She was laughing so hard she couldn't breathe!

He jumped, played dead, pretended she knocked him over, he had to have been worn out!!
Deb played with Reese every second! She helped her slide and caught her when she went sliding off like a mad woman too!

Nice that my daughter is kissing the park toy that a million other kids touched, right?

While we were at the park, Heidi, Cash, Summer, Hudson and Haven all showed up! What a fun day! We are worn out...
