Fourteen Months (yesterday, sorry, slacker). I guess I'm thinking that if I keep saying it, she'll stay this age (minus the bossiness she's already accustom to). She is my little spitfire. It's a little redneck, the word spitfire, but it's my best, most honest way to describe Reese at this moment. I'm guessing her chances of becoming a quiet bookworm are slim to none. So, what is she up to?
Let's see (forgive me if I've mentioned some in previous blogs)...
- Still saying Reese.
- Dada when baseball players are on the television
- running
- shoes...she loves shoes. Hers, yours, anyone's! She says "shoes" and puts hers on (gets very frustrated with pedipeds) she also likes to say "shoes" and take yours off and attempt to put them on her feet. This gets her even more frustrated.
- Her senses: She says "nose" and can point to yours or her nose. She says "eyes" and points to eyes. She knows hair, mouth and ear but can't quite get them out yet. She can point to them for you.
- She can tell you if she wants milk or water.
- She hangs on her highchair and points when she is hungry or if you say it's time to eat.
- Books-I won't beat this in the ground since I've posted already, but all books, she loves.
- She can climb in her wagon, onto her car and out of the bathtub-yikes!
- She gives kisses like no other. Usually at the funniest of times. They are, to me, my soulful moment with her. Her heart is so kind.
- With that said, you'd better not sit in her chair. She will spot you from across the room, shriek, and proceed to push and pull with all her might until you are, in fact, out of her chair. She then sits in it for all of 2 seconds and walks away laughing...nice.
- She loves to brush her teeth every morning and every night (this has been since before a year old) she just knows the routine good now. You say "brush your teeth" she knows the bathroom sink is where to go.
- She poops in the corner...yes, started this right at 13 months. You say stinky, she walks to her room to be changed. We'll start potty training soon.
- She loves the park, swings and just being outdoors. She is in heaven. In addition, she loves to climb up, the slide.
- She loves Elmo. I don't even know how this happened. Somewhere during our try 1,000 dvd's on our trip to Nashville this love began. Don't get me wrong, Elmo is hilarious, but she loves him now. She grabs the dvd cover or her Elmo doll and puts them next to the tv and says some gibberish. We have heard "Down, down, baby I can do karate" more than any human should.
- The other day she reached in the fridge and picked out a yogurt. I said "give me a minute to get you a spoon." She turned, went to the spoon drawer, opened it, and attempted to get one out. I was rolling. Guess she didn't have a minute.
- Babydolls and strollers. She plays, feeds, hugs, kisses and strolls her babies all day long. She cooks for them and is a really good mama. It melts my heart.
I'm sure there's more, but those are sticking out in my head. She has become such a funny person lately. I can't wait to see what next month brings. I am in mommy heaven, truly. Here's some shots from a shoot last week. I'll post the rest on our family site soon (that I have been neglecting again. Please don't hate right now...I'll devote time to it in the off season!) Enjoy...

ReplyDeleteYou always take amazing pictures but I really love the first one of her on the bridge. It's almost like she's posing. I think her chubby little thighs are awesome too!
If I can take pictures of my kid half as good as yours I'll be impressed with myself!
