There's too much to catch up on. We had a great time in Arizona. I really didn't blog because I had so many work sessions, hung out with friends and soaked up as much hubby time as I could. Dallas and I had such a good time together. I miss him so bad. It was so sad leaving on Saturday.
We flew back Saturday and had an awesome flight. Reese was an angel. She slept 2 of the three hours. My girlfriend Veronica, that we saw a lot in AZ and I did not get one pic of our time together was on our flight and was trying to move from her first class seat to coach with us. (She is preggo, I had to tell her to enjoy her first class seat/rest/reading a magazine/watching a moive while she could). We landed and Gigi and Papa were in the airport waiting on us. So cute. She was SO excited to see them. They've both been mesmerized with her ever since. Everything she says or does is the best thing in the world. Daddy spent the night Sat. and let Reese stay with him watching Snow White into the wee hours of the morning (she is really off schedule) and then we all loaded up and headed to Boo's for Easter Sunday.
Back to Arizona. So, in our usual Spring Training fashion, Dallas got strep throat the last three days of camp. During this time he was supposed to be playing in the freeway series (or whatever they call it in Oakland) but had strep so he had to miss it. When the trainers told Dallas he just replied "that is the story of my career. Awesome."

Packing and cleaning and seeing friends consumed my days towards the end. I don't think I sat down and rested or went a day without a shoot or time with friends the entire month. I'm excited to squeeze in a little rest while we are here in Georgia the next few weeks. Dallas made it safely to Sacramento yesterday so we will be missing him and doing a lot of Skyping this month. We'll head his way the beginning of May. I have a very busy April here with clients and most importantly my nephew is coming! That's the reason we're home. We are all patiently (not really) awaiting the arrival of the most beautiful/best boy in the world! He doesn't know his Aunt is a photographer is going to overload him with my camera in the first few days of his life....and on and on.
I was so bad about pictures this Spring. I didn't get any of Veronica or our bible study group. I think b/c I was shooting so much at night I wanted to go and just enjoy time with friends. It was a great feeling. The few I did take (almost all of these) were with my good ole point and shoot so they are not so good but at least I got a few memories for the blog. We spent lots of our time with the Nielsen's. Mauri was my savior and watched Reese for me for almost all of my shoots. She took Reese to the park, to eat, she is the best. Reese LOVES her whole family. We had pizza nights, park time, it was great. I miss them so much already. Here's one from a 2.5 hour park day where Reese found a water gun on the ground and quickly made it her own. Mauri allowed Reese to soak their entire family for fun. She loved it...

Here's some silly pics of Reese enjoying a sucker while we sat at the GMC dealership for almost 3 hours. FUN...

Another...

One of our many trips to the Train Park, she LOVES this park so much. I'll miss it!!

We went to bounce almost every week and met up with the Putz girls several times. They were so sweet to Reese. We had a great time with them this Spring. Such great friends! Reese adores the girls...

Group hug...

Don't know why I took this. I should have a shot of Kelsey & I on the big slide with our kids and every other kid in the place that jumped on with us... right Kelsey?

Went on a girls night (leaving my sick hubby at home with Reese...great mom) with Kelsey & her friends and it was so much fun!! They are all super pretty & so sweet. I instantly felt at home and had a great time with them!

We finally managed to see Natalie & her boys in Chandler. We met up at Jumpstreet, this cool new trampoline bounce place. (Which Reese is still talking about) and the kids had a ball. They were exhausted afterwards but totally worth it. I haven't seen Natalie in a year and miss our pilates & neighborhood walks/talks.

Her boys are SO CUTE and were more than happy to pose for a pic (unlike my child ignoring me in the back of the photo). Aren't they so cute?

We also saw Tiffany, another great friend that I miss terribly for a quick lunch at Chick-fil-A. We missed seeing the girls but we got to see adorable Titan, who grew up overnight. He was so sweet to Reese. How cute are they sitting there?

He thinks she's funny...

And a sweet hug...

I wish I had more pics especially family ones. It was a great Spring filled with new friends, old friends, playtime, baseball, work & fun. God is good. Did I mention how great it is to be back in my own bed, though??? Nothing like it. I have my stuff, my bed, ahhh...it's wonderful.

I'll post Easter pics this week once I finish editing 1,000 (not exaggerated) photos. Hope everyone has a great week!
fun times! I hope to see you on your short visit home! I cant wait to see pics of your nephew!
ReplyDeleteI sure do miss Arizona and spring training! It looks like you guys really enjoyed yourselves. We were in Sacramento and it is by far (in Lou's mind) one of the best AAA cities out there. We lived in Natomas Park (by the basketball arena - forget what it's called) and loved it. If you have to be in AAA, at least it's a good place to be. The ballpark is great and lots of fun restaurants, shopping, a boardwalk, etc, right by it.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear about the new arrival to your family!
busy girl! i wish hadley and reese weren't the same age/size so i could inherit your hand-me-downs. her clothes are ADORABLE!!!
