reese & averie

Yesterday, we had the best time with our new friends!  Ashley & Averie came over yesterday morning to spend the day with us.  We all had such a great time! I really should have gotten more/better pictures but between Ashley & I yapping and the girls being wild women I never really got much time.  Good thing for me...bad thing for my readers...We started off in the wagon, which Reese bailed out on within 5 minutes and insisted on poor Ashley carrying her! Luckily Averie used to be a chuck too, so she easily managed (even though I think Reese weighs more than her). They found some nice leaves...
Averie by herself in the wagon...
So sweet...Meanwhile her mama is having to carry Reese...

We got back and the girls climbed the deck to look at the fish.  Then we fed the ducks, pelicans and turtles some old bread.  Followed by some goldfish from their earlier goldfish massacre all over the floor...

After playing, they colored...

It is really funny to watch them.  They talk, fuss, copy each other, wait...is that not SO what we all do now?  I guess it's in all of us girl's genes!

I've meant to blog this prior to today, but this will be the longest post ever, so why not throw it in?  This little house/flower shop we got at Target is the best toy ever! It was $30 (there was a $20 one but don't we all end up liking the more expensive one just a little bit more???) We got it a week ago and Reese LIVES in it.  Babies go in there, she plays, talks.  Really entertains herself.  It is a really good buy for this lifestyle too.  Cheap & easy to fold up and take to the next rental!! Here's Averie in it...
After a long day we decided to try some backdrop shots.  Not sure what I was thinking since it wasn't even ironed and the girls were at the END of their day.  They enjoyed sitting on it, none the less and not posing for pics.  Here's a sweet kiss!
Some reading on the backdrop...

And then sweet Averie posed for a sec!  I think Reese was so excited that I was chasing someone else with my camera.  Is Ava not a doll?  Her eyes are soooo pretty!

We seriously had so much fun.  We baked pizzas, chatted, laughed, ate snacks, it was great.  I'm so thankful that I signed Reese up for swim and we met them.  It was meant to be.  God is really amazing that way, isn't he?  He knew we would instantly bond.  Maybe he even put us in the freezing cold water to make us chat over our children having possible hypothermia?!  Who knows.  It is funny though.  We have lots in common.  They are in AZ, where we used to be...Dallas has played her hubby for years...both third base men...both have gals that look just like their dada's and nothing like their mamas...chubber babies (ava used to be which gives us hope, even though I LOVE a chubby baby!) and Ashley and I hit it off.  Small world and such an amazing one too.  Thanks Lord, for getting us together!
