Disclaimer: I am not a sports photographer. Nor, do I aim to be. I am just a wife/mommy who happens to be a huge fan of #8 with a decent zoom lens.
Seriously, I don't even enjoy sports photography. I have no desire to master it. However, for the sake of our family memories and my slight boredom at some of the games, I shoot pictures of the cute Isotopes third baseman. Don't ask. Who names a team the Isotopes, right?
Anyhoo, here's some shots I just got around to from my Oklahoma City trip. Man, this makes me miss him. Who knows what he hit in this shot, but for the sake of this site, we'll say a homerun. Hey, he hit one while I was there. It could have been this at bat...
Well the team took the nickname from the make-believe baseball team known as the Springfield Isotopes who moved to Albuquerque, NM in an episode of THE SIMPSONS. That's right. The Simpsons was the originator of the Isotopes. The fans loved it enough to change the team name from the Dukes, as it had been when the Dodgers Triple-A team was in Alb., to the Isotopes.
