summer.

Can I just say that I CAN NOT get my child to just smile and stand normal for the camera? Instead she dances and poses and now, apparently, pooches out her lips. (took this before she went swimming today) OMG. We've been enjoying our time home with friends and family something serious! Today Reese and I went swimming over at Donna's and had the best time together. I just love my time with just us. Even though she won't remember it, hopefully she'll read about it and if nothing else, I'll know that she & I are best buddies. She has all of my love and all of my attention. Love this little cutie of mine...
She would LIVE off popsicles too. Literally, she wakes up wanting one and it takes all I have to hold her off until the afternoon...
And another random pic I found of Reese and Avery playing at the stadium with their babies...
More family time tonight!

girls.

Tuesday night, mom had a grandma/granddaughter date night with Susanne & Izzy (reese's bff) while I headed downtown with the girls to Cantina. I've missed so many of the girls trip trying to be a mama/photographer so I made sure to make this one. Two hours passes in 10 minutes with them. Love these girls...
I found these pics from Sacramento last night when I was working. This was at a game in Reno where Shannon and I were both spent with the kiddos and it was so friggin hot...
Reese is makeup obsessed and I catch her in my makeup all the time. She know which ones she can play with and which ones not. If I catch her she drops all of them and then says, "I promise I not playing with the expensive ones, mama..."
When we were in Sac, Reese played baseball with her Daddy at the field, in the backyard, everywhere and she loves to hit. We've had to keep up her skills here. Chase came over and was pitching to her, can you tell how serious she is???
Focused...
And this, I love...Daddy let me sleep inlast weekend when he stayed with us and literally he played everything from prince to doctor...I found them sitting in the chair reading together. Melts my heart...He's the absolute best Papa...

Dallas turns 30 tomorrow!! Finally we are both in our thirties...we'll just leave it at that...

Summing up our week

I'm sure I'll leave something out but I'll try! Last week we got back from Reno and enjoyed our last few games with our friends (that I miss so much!!) and Daddy's games. We had a birthday party for Reese at the park, then started our All Star Break with Daddy. We were supposed to go to Lake Tahoe but between Dallas needing to rest his back, unpacking, packing, cleaning,m it just began to look less and less appealing. We stayed home and soaked up SO much Daddy/family time. We went shopping, the park, dinner, played baseball in the backyard, took Reese to the jumping place one last time (she had a blast) and then got on our plane back to Georgia. Since we got home literally this is the first time I have sat down. We are trying to get back on schedule but I am way off.
Boo and baby Penn got here Thursday (whoo hoo!!) and we all hung out, then, Friday all of us girls (mom, me, reese, boo) and penn went shopping ALL DAY. We met Daddy for dinner at Longhorn's and had a wonderful but exhausting day. Daddy came down Saturday to spend time with us and I went to Veronica's shower (and was so sad to miss Lux's party but we were there in spirit!!) and Dad & mom played with Reese all day. When I got home, we celebrated Daddy's birthday with dinner and ice cream cake (yum) then Papa spent the night. Literally, my dad & Reese haven't left the playroom in 2 days. They had a BLAST together...it melts my heart. Can I just say that as much as I miss Arizona (our extended family) I love that we chose to move back to where our family is 5 minutes away. No plane flights, long trips, we are all together all the time. It's the best choice we ever made. Today, after Daddy left, Donna and Chase came over to play and Reese was in heaven....AGAIN. LOVE them so much!!
Here's what I came home to Saturday (my Dad's little princess)....

She would lay in the floor, pretend to sleep and tell him that only her "prince" can come wake her. Seriously. She then had to explain that her Daddy is her prince but Papa could be for now. She's princess obsessed.
One night Lisa, Shannon and I all met at the park to have a small California birthday party for Reese. (She literally thinks birthdays are a month long process since that is the time length between this one and her next one...) They were all so sweet. She LOVED it! They all sang to her, brought her sweet presents and we all enjoyed some ice cream cake that literally melted in a half hour in ther heat...

It's tacky but her ghetto mama added the "R"...

The whole gang...

So, when I went to the store to grab candles, Reese told me, "mama, I have to have a balloon at my birthday party..." Okay. So, I let her pick one and she literally picks the $10 lifesize (tacky) DORA balloon. Got it, done. When we got to the park, I tied it to the bar-b-q grill but Reese wanted to play with it. Her and Avery were playing so good with it (as you can see below) they called it their "friend" and walked around holding hands with it. They were not being sweet to Gavin so I made Reese give it to him for a few minutes. Next thing you know, poor Gavin trips and off goes lifesize DORA flying through the air (with Shannon running in slow motion yelling "Noooooooooo....." trying to grab it) Literally, Reese turns and looks at me like someone had died, dramatically dropped her head to the ground and BALLED crying!! It was hilarious beyond words...good little memory (for us, not Reese)...
Here they are happy with Reese...

Beginning the non sharing...

Minutes before DORA took flight...

And here's our attempt at a group shot with our Rivercats fan club, I had to post them all, they cracked me up. This was literally all of mine,Lisa & Shannon's evenings, one happy, one not, one sitting as told, one not, etc. I really feel so blessed to have these little ones in our lives this season...

And a quick pic of Peyton, the only non drama queen of our evenings...

I didn't take many pics our last few days but I did get her last gymnastics class! She loved it there and can't wait to start here! This is her favorite leotard and she begged me to wear it every week, I finally gave in for her last hoorah! She loved Miss. Amanda and they were sad to say goodbye, this was an awesome gymnastics center, we'll miss it!

Doing donkey kicks...

Chatting in line...

We miss Daddy terribly but it is SO NICE to be in my bed, my house. I have really become a homebody the past few years and enjoy my routine. My bed feels so good and I've already had yummy Firehouse and Mexican! (my favorites!!) I'll hopefully be a decent blogger but I'm back to work now so you'll finally see work on my business site this week!

4th of July in Reno

We have had the best week! On Sunday morning, all of the families loaded up to drive to Reno. Dallas and I were in awe of the entire drive...gorgeous. It was so much fun just riding and talking together. We all checked into the Casino and the guys headed to the game. All the girls got decked out in their 4th of July apparel and had the best time playing at the game.
Here's Reese posing...

She really never stopped...

We played out front for a while...

They all are so cute together...

Kenz...

Girl hug...how cute is this???

I love this one!

Daddy and Reese on the field after the fireworks...so much fun! I LOVE being here, with Dallas, on the ballfield watching fireworks as a family. Nothing better...

Daddy & Reese by the RENO sign...

Another...

Once again, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time away from the computer (even though I am still doing work stuff). We had a fun party with the kids for Reese and we ate at Texas Roadhouse with Lisa & Kenz last night, just enjoying our friends. Headed to the game tonight! One more before we leave. So sad to leave Dallas but I can not wait for my bed!

break.

Let me begin by saying that by me staying off the internet and my computer I have felt like a huge weight has been lifted off me and I'm able to live life, exercise, watch some juicy reality tv and not be caught up on "who's headed to Costco" on facebook new person. Seriously, all that time I spend on the computer? Mostly, it is for work and believe me, at this point in my life, if it isn't work related, I am not sitting for hours with my laptop as my best friend. I want to go back to exercising with my free time, less computer time. We'll see how that pans out...in the mean time, we've had a fun week in Sacramento! Lots of time at the games, we've been to every single one. Lots of fun with all the kids especially Kenzie (who she loves). We had a good off day with Daddy and all went to see Toy Story 3 (which Reese loved) and then went to the Disney store where she had a fit over all of the Toy Story characters but still left with her favorite...Snow White. We also babysat Kenz one morning while Lisa found out she was having another girl (yay!!) and Reese was in heaven. They were so cute together...As always, she has said hilarious stuff this week...Tonight as we left for the game (late as always) I said, "Maybe one day we'll be on time for a game..." Her reply? "You can say that again." And she had attitude as she said it.Tonight she would not share Snow White (who she has had a death grip on since Tuesday)with Avery and I asked her why. She says to me (I wish I could imitate the tone in here...) "I just.got.her at the Disney Store. JUST.GOT.HER." Guess there is a certain amount of ownership that has to occur before sharing begins. The best?I was washing clothes and Dallas was playing with Reese. She went to go potty (which we are NOT allowed to help with anymore. She pulls her pants/panties up, down, wipes, everything with no help "I do it myself!") and Dallas had left the toilet seat up (typical) and he said she looked at him (very frustrated) and said (with as much sarcasm as a 16 year old) "Daddy, Really?????" Then, with the hand that wasn't propped on her hip, she slammed down the seat. Dallas had tears in his eyes from laughter as he imitated it to me. (If you know me, that is how I talk when I am pissy...Really? You can't pick up your drink and put it in the trash, really????") She may look like him but she acts like me.Reese loves the clubhouse, goes in there with Dallas every night. She is off her "mom" and "dad" kick and now calls us "Mother Bear" and "Father Bear." Dallas had to tell me that father bear is his favorite...melts his heart. Here's a few pics from the week. I took a nice camera break too, always a good thing!I literally have taken no pics but here's one of Reese during a dance sequence at a game. Michelle (www.bryncouture.com) made this ADORABLE shirt! You'll be seeing all of her gorgeous clothes on my site soon!

After one of the day games (it's so hot here) all waiting on Daddy's...

And adorable Kenzie...

Fun day with Lisa today and then we're all headed to Reno! Daddy gets to ride with us!
