Us.

I really am a slacker. She's really funny and does hilarious things. She chatters all.the.time. And her mama misses everything. I long for Thanksgiving when I go back to full time mama/Reese stalker. My mom had to rip me away from my computer this evening as she reminded me that Reese had to bring a family picture to school tomorrow. How sad is it that we have ONE this year??? Wanna see what it is? Click here. It's lovely. So, we threw on clothes, put fresh makeup over some that was applied this a.m. and we got outside. (It was really only my mom's guilt trip over Reese being THE ONLY kid in school without a photo...can you imagine what kind of trauma that would cause which she could eventually carry into adulthood?) She cracks us up...
And the McPherson family photo of 2009. Dallas is dressed in summer apparel and we're all crammed in the front yard. We'll take it. I can just see it slapped on a construction paper frame/ornament of some sort as a gift from Reese...

I'm so thankful for this family of mine...

Fall Festival...

I'm back in Georgia! I had a great trip but missed my talkative little stinker so much! Just a quick post...today was her fall festival at school (she was supposed to have her costume on..I know I am a total slacker...) but it was fun. They got to play all sorts of games and win candy. Here's my happy little one with her two favorite teachers, as Reese would say, "Mrs. Reesa (Teresa) and Mrs. Janet...

Try to blog more this week!

updates...

Ugh, me and my stinky blogging. I'm sure to redeem myself one day. Right now there are 4 sessions on my computer and I am leaving for Arizona today. Lots going on here! I am so sad to leave Reese (it's been a long time since I left her) but I know her daddy & gigi have everything under control. I'll be in AZ through Saturday! One client flew me out for her fam session and I'll be photographing another while I am there! Whew hoo! FUN! I am really excited! Enough about me, Reese has had a busy week too. Yesterday was "hat day" at school so she rambled through my photography draw for a hat...
Today was Farmer day. Hummm...what does one wear to farmer day? Her teacher suggested a flannel shirt and overalls (yeah, we own those in 2009, although I know flannel is in...) instead, my mom was scrounging around last night throwing together an outfit. It's kinda sad. The cowboy boots are Reese's and the skirt but mom went to her house and busted out the 1994 Super Bowl halftime show bandana I sported on the field dancing to Travis Tritt's I smell T-R-O-U-B-L-E....seriously. Poor baby. She was a fashion don't today but she rocked it. I was cracking up when I dropped her off at all the 2 year olds in overalls and straw hats...ha!

I'll miss her & Dallas so much (sniff, sniff) but I'll be back soon enough! Have a great week!

HER.

She loves max & ruby. (and says their names soooo cute)
She counts to 15 (but always skips 13)
She knows all 14 of her classmates names.
Loves her backpack.
Eats fruit like it's candy.
Knows who she's going to be for halloween (and has for a month now) along with what all of us are going to be too...
Can "call the pigs"...
Makes her Daddy sing one song to her every night (just one)
Opens the fridge by herself.
If I ask her to be my baby, she crawls in my lap, closes her eyes and pretends to be a sleeping baby...
She's imaginative. The other day she lined up her Dora & family dolls. Told each of them to wait, then called them one at a time and said "sit there, smile, cheeeeezeee..." Next....
Sings lots of songs.
Thinks I am the funniest person on the earth.
Loves her Gigi, Papa, Boo, D, Daddy, Donna...
Says "Gooooooo Dawgs, Sick em."
Tells you her name is Reese McPherson. (Another really cute thing to hear...)

She just melts us everyday. She is with her Gigi tonight, having a blast. What a blessing she is...

southern belle farms...

On Saturday night Boo, D & Papa arrived to hang out with their #1 girl and take her to the farm. We are so lucky that the best corn maze, fall festival around is walking distance from our house! Reese was so excited to pick out her pumpkins for our house. She quickly ran over and had a difficult time narrowing it down. Her daddy & Aunt Boo helped her pick two that actually matched.

Here's what we left with...Doesn't Dallas look happy that his wife "needed" a picture of his purchases...

We were just in time for the pig races at Oinker Stadium...

Reese has been a contestant (you stand by the flag of the pig you support) way too many times this season, so we let other kids participate. Check out Jake as the pig mc. Nice mullet wig, right?

Reese yells, Go pigs, go!! Go green pig...(They have colored marks on their backs)

Aunt Boo was with her for the pig races...

They have all kinds of animals. Dallas got her some food and they fed the goats. She loved it...

Right out of her hand...

Then Papa and Reese went to see the all the cows...

Then she swung on the saddle swing...

She rode the John Deere tricycle...

Reese and her favorite Papa!!

The cool guys hanging out...

Boo & D...soon to be mama & daddy...

Boo & my beautiful mama who hates to have her picture made...

The gang walking around...

We spent lots of time here. You pump these handles and make the water push the ducks across...Reese was VERY into it...

Her Daddy helped...

The gang cheering on her ducks from across the waters...

They were seriously here forever...

Then she went to pick pumpkins with Boo and get a pumpkin for Rookie. We always have to include Rookie...

She was not happy that I needed a picture of Rookie's pumpkin. This is her fake smile...

Papa gave her $10 (that she walked around with and somehow managed to keep up with) to buy more pumpkins...

Giving Boo her input...

We didn't have time to do the corn maze or ride the cow train but I know we'll be back before the week is out! Hope you made it through all those pics. I get a little carried away during family time...

boo'ed.

We love our neighborhood and our neighbors. They seem to like playing practical jokes on us too. Saturday night our door bell rang (late) and we all ran to the door to find this sign on our door, a basket full of Halloween fun and no person to claim it.
Reese was really loving the basket of goodies and could have cared less who it was from. We're still trying to figure it out but in the mean time we've got some boo planning to do on our own! How much fun is that?! We got our 2 pumpkins at the patch Saturday and Reese made one of them minnie mouse (compliments of her Gigi). She loves it! Everyday she asks about minnie and had a near breakdown the other morning when she woke up and saw a wet minnie/pumpkin. We had to explain she was waterproof...

I just love these Fall months!!

mama's heart...

My mom had Reese last night while I was at a photo shoot. They decided to go out and play with the neighbors and enjoy a nice walk together. While on their walk this was heard:
My mom said look at the sky, Reese, it's beautiful.
Reese: "No, Gigi, it's cloudy." (It was.)
My mom said, Yep. Do you know who lives up there? Jesus.
Reese said: "Yes, Gigi and in my heart..."

Oh my gosh. My mom had tears, she then asks me to ask Reese. Reese told me Jesus was in heaven and in her heart.

She never ceases to amaze me. There is nothing in this world like being a child of God and teaching your children about HIM.

All is well.

weekend with the family.

I'll blog more this week but wanted to post a pic that sums up the weekend. I've had photo shoots galore (headed out for one right now) but we've squeezed in a nice girls night out dinner (thanks Rebecca & Jill...I loved it!!), Dallas and I had a very romantic date night that consisted of trimming the hedges, planting flowers and laying down mulch and last night Dad, Boo and D came to visit so we could all go to the corn maze! After that, dinner and family time at home. Today we all went to early church and came home to grill out together over football. I just love our family time together...

sickness.

Sometimes you play so hard, you just take a nap whereever you can...
We've been barely getting by around here. Reese has croup and has been out of school since last Thursday. Gigi and I are both sick now too. Yuck. She's being a great sport about being stuck in the house with me all day long. No jumping place, no park. The playroom and the basement are our playground. And thankfully, puppy provides a great place to crash when the medicine kicks in...

basement fun...

I don't know that I've ever even ventured to the basement, aka Dallas' mancave with my camera. I only head south for a workout (with is a rare thing these days) or to see what Dallas and Reese are up to. Reese goes to the basement to hit with her daddy just about everyday. One morning, when John woke up, she invited him & Meghan down for a little bp.
Only the coolest ballplayers hit off their Minnie tee..(thanks Aunt Boo & Uncle D)

Getting ready...

Poor John had to take ground balls before he even headed to the field!!

She's a sweitch hitter too. It's a little absurd to mom but it's their time together and she loves it...

Fixing her tee...

She runs the bases (set up around the pool table) and slides into home. John was trying to get some RBI's by encouraging her to make it to home plate before she was out!

After baseball, she played her favorite...soccer. I am not playing, the chick can drill a soccer ball. Still don't know where that came from...

Then John was teaching her how to punch the bag in the workout room...

And then she slide down her slide a hundred times for us all. Her Daddy made her a playroom in the basement with this slide and a huge (I mean huge) tent. He even put stars (you remember those sticky glow in the dark kind that we all used to stick on our ceiling in middle school??? Wait, was that just me?) They are in her tent and they hold up flashlights and pretend they are camping. It's too much! He's an awesome daddy!

Thanks Baker's! We love you!!

Our girl.

Last night was our usual Thursday night date night/Gigi and Reese sleepover party. We find ourselves talking about HER our entire meal. Laughing hysterically. We feel so blessed to have this cool of a kid.
I actually took my own child out for a shoot this week (me & my lovely assistant Meghan) and it was so much fun! I'll post pics from the Baker's trip this week too. We love them so much and are so thankful for their friendship. Reese keeps asking where they are. She thinks they went to the "jumping place." I'm pretty sure she's actually trying to get us to go there looking for them...
