enjoying the afternoon...

As promised, here's some shots from yesterday. Reese loves her wagon form Papa. She's been limited to Daddy pulled her around in his basement, but yesterday we got out and about. She was stylin. I love these first few (really I love all of them). It's been too long since we've been out shooting. It is hard to get eye contact these days, but all long as her personality shines through, I'm satisfied. She is the sweetest, most outgoing little bundle these days.

love these little teeth...

Aunt Boo wheeling her heiness down the street...

Mommy!!

Where's Daddy? (this is her signature pose when asked a question she doesn't know the answer to...)

Happy...

Love the lens flare on this one. It was a perfect day to capture the warmth.

I love this shot of her looking back at her mama. It melts my heart...

warmth.

I love to capture the mood of a person. A day. The feeling.
Today, when I got home from a shoot, it was just before sunset and Reese was itching for some good playtime outside with her mama and Aunt Boo. I'll post more tomorrow but this one your getting tonight. I love it. It's a bright day late in December in Georgia and my little girl is glad for some warm sunshine.

We saw 7 pounds tonight and Benjamin Button last week. Two great movies. If ya need a good date night...

peanut.

Our little peanut in a hat. My absolute favorite. I'm a hat addict. I'm going to be sad when she out grows the "baby in a hat" phase. I always get asked where I get some of them. This was Janie & Jack, of course Gap is a solid choice, but Etsy, it tops all. Nothing like homemade! I highly recommend a trip over to Etsy if you're in the need!

love this.

I love when Dallas gives her a bath.  I also love to sneak up and listen.  Their bath talks are very humorous.  Him washing her hair is pretty funny too.  Aren't Daddy's with little girls extra cute??
(Sorry, I'm sure boys daddy's are cute too, I just can only speak for girls)

gotta love it.

Christmas in pictures

We had a wonderful Christmas. Reese loved opening presents! She was really into it. Santa brought her three gifts: a kitchen, medical kit and baby alive doll. (They represent the three gifts the wisemen brought for Jesus). She hopped out of my arms, ran to the kitchen, turned some knobs, then put the babydoll in the stove. yikes! After that, papa and gigi started their gift giving. We had to take a few breaks in between. The Braddys brought over some great presents too. We ate, slept and enjoyed our time together. Reese did lots of riding around (inside and out) in her wagon. I think her fav gift was from Boo & D...her rody.  (My sister thought I was crazy when I said she will love it when she is the right age) well, this is the right age!! She took one look at it, hopped on and went spastic! We have it all on video. I had first found one of these this time last year in Charleston. I wanted it then, but I knew it would be better at 18 months or so. I highly recommend one! There's a link on the sidebar.(It was my first link when I started blogging!)------------------>
She is a wild woman on it. I apologize, I didn't get a ton of pics. We video taped a lot. I got a new camera so the battery had to charge (I love my new camera!!). Thank you to my wonderful family. I love you all so much. I love spending all day together with you, there is truly nothing better. Hope everyone had a great holiday too!

Hello, Santa.

Nice to meet cha.  My name is Reese.  I've been good.  And I am maaadddddddd!!!

It makes for a good laugh, doesn't it?
Dallas and I decided to make a new family tradition of going to sit on Santa's lap on Christmas Eve.  We got up, got dressed and headed up to Lenox Mall (same Santa we saw last year, the Phipps one isn't as cute).  It was great. Hardly any traffic.  Reese was so excited when we got there.  She played and kept saying "Ho, Ho, Ho!"  We would ask..."Do you want to sit on Santa's lap?"  "YES!"  We we got up there, her answer changed.  They took this picture and I ended up in Santa's lap too just so we could get a happy shot.  We got down and she cracked up laughing. Awesome.  I love the picture, though, total crack up.
Afterwards, we headed to CPK for a family lunch and Reese fell out on the card ride home. We're home now and Papa, Gigi, Boo & D are here.  We're having turkey & dressing, the Braddy's are coming over later and then Christmas Eve service at church in our pj's!
.
Merry Christmas Eve!

Christmas Party.

Yesterday we celebrated with my mom's side of the family and loved every minute. It is such a joy to see everyone and best of all, host everyone at our house! (We tried to get it in Arizona but no one signed up for that one!) We always have a great time. Lots of food, a mean game of white elephant where it is inevitable that something really tacky will end up coming back from years past, and family time together. Bam even joined in on the family fun! Reese loved everyone in her house. She showed off her room, playroom and anywhere else people would follow. First, Gigi had to perfect the pigtails (very important before you host a party)...

Before it all began, Dallas came walking up looking like this...

And I replied..."You don't look very Christmasy (there goes that word again)"
Moments later, this is what stood before me.

Lesson #1. Let Dallas where whatever in the crap he wants to. Lesson #2. Hide all sharpies.
Back to the festivities...
McKenzie was so sweet to Reese. She played with her any chance she got...

Playing in her playroom with Emory...

Reese and her Papa were best buddies as always... (her Daddy too)

They practiced jumping off the counter and landing in Papa's arms...

All of the guys would go missing from time to time. Where? Once again, the basement. Dallas has it looking so good. Here's his MAC sign I had made for him a few years back...

They did make it out once the white elephant game began. It was so much fun! Lots of awful gifts and fights over the good stuff!!

Wonder what lovely gift Chris is getting???

Oh...Ah....nothing like a pair of Tabasco underwear!

Reese loved playing. Gigi, Mommy, Daddy, Boo & Papa all let Reese pick their gift. She did good for me! I got travel trivial pursuit:pop culture.Reesie got some checkers...

Dallas opening his gift...

Reese helping out Boo...

Bam got to go last...A.k.a. the best number! He took a large remote control from Bob, who then stole lotto tix from Lauren. That's how it works, people!

So much fun! Thanks for coming everyone! Also, thanks to you blog devotees who managed to make it through this long post!
Oh.. a quick shot of the cutest little man ever...Lincoln. I'll get him on my biz blog too!
